“Manvi has been an outstanding coach for our nine year old son. He started showing interest in chess when he was eight and thankfully we found Manvi to help support him. During the time that he’s worked with Manvi, he’s been part of small group and individual instruction, and she’s been great about using Zoom and web-based applications to help teach him about opens, mid-games and end-games. His confidence in controlling the board and implementing strategy has really improved since he’s started working with her. Perhaps one of his favorite things about working with Manvi is that she allowed him to take his time when figuring out moves. This isn’t speed chess that she’s teaching here. I think the idea of that stressed him out. Manvi’s patience, knowledge and ability to get him to think really made his experience working with her a positive one.
